The Furuno FA40 is an AIS receiver designed for safe and efficient navigation by receiving AIS data from other vessels. It offers multiple connectivity options for easy integration with NavNet, AIS-capable radar or chart plotters, and popular navigation software. The FA40 enhances situational awareness in congested waterways or periods of reduced visibility by showing vessel information including name, position, course, and speed on your electronics.

The Furuno FA70 builds on this with full Class B+ AIS transceiver capabilities, enabling your own vessel to transmit at higher power and faster rates with guaranteed time slot allocation (SO-TDMA). It includes an internal high-accuracy GPS receiver with WAAS DGPS for precise position data. The built-in VHF antenna splitter allows sharing your VHF radio’s antenna, simplifying installation.
